Benzoyl Peroxide (BPO), is of the chemical used in mild skin treatment. it also a bleaching agent used in hair treatment, teeth whitening and etc.
For food industry, BPO is use in flour bleaching for better appearance. Malaysia Food Act and Food Regulations has control limit for such usage to ensure no excessive BPO was added.
As a consumer or industry manufacturer, we must be knowledgeable and responsible to ensure the products are safe to be consumed within the permitted limit.
